Position Specific Description

This position will be part of the Power Delivery IT (PDIT) team working on the Power Delivery Center for Work Excellence (CWE) initiative.  Technical focus of the CWE initiative is the Salesforce (SF) product suite and integrations with existing PDIT and enterprise work management, resource management and outage applications in both on-premises and cloud-based environments. The position will function within a collaborative SAFE Agile Release Train environment providing technical leadership and solutioning to agile teams through close interaction with Product Owners, architects, developers, testers, DevOps engineers, and Scrum Masters to deliver business value.

Salesforce Technical Lead will deliver solutions for clients that emphasize Salesforce products including SF Field Service, Community Portal, mobile features, Scheduling, Maps, and Mulesoft integrations. 
The candidate will have excellent logic and problem-solving skills, strong communication skills and a bias for action to make a difference.

Responsibilities will include

  • Understand the challenges being addressed by an engagement and collaborate with team members and clients to deliver a technical solution that meet the unique needs of our clients.
  • Create quality deliverables to communicate technical solutions to appropriate audiences.
  • Conduct architecture/design review meetings prior to implementation and present to Salesforce Governance team for approval.
  • Document the SF designs on confluence or any other repository defined by FPL.
  • Understand the user stories and requirements and define the best SF configuration approach.
  • Guide the team to implement SF configuration using OOTB features when possible considering apex customizations as the last resort. 
  • Provide expertise and coach the team members on implementing the right SF configuration and/or customization.
  • Ensure the team is adhering to the SF configuration guidelines and standards defined by FPL SF Governance.
  • Support DevOps CI/CD processes, perform code reviews, approve pull requests, manage merges and solve code conflicts, identify and help fix build and deployment issues. 
  • Provide technical mentoring and leadership to more junior resources.
  • Follow Scrum, SAFe agile delivery processes.

Skills and experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology implementation for full lifecycle enterprise software projects.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Salesforce configuration.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading Salesforce configuration teams.
  • Minimum of 2 years in object modelling in Salesforce, performing integrations, and developing and executing data migrations.
  • Direct experience with SF Field Service, Community Portal, mobile features, Scheduling, Maps, and Mulesoft.

Desired Certifications

  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator, Salesforce Certified App Builder and or Salesforce certified Platform Developer

  • Manages third party technical and outsourcing relationships to deliver project and operational support objectives
  • Ensures technology processes are conducted in line with applicable standards and company policies
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience: 7+ years

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
