SALESFORCE DEVELOPER ndash Application Systems Engineer I Salesforce, Apex, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, REST API, Application Development, and Support Application Systems Engineer Type Salesforce Developer Location Oakland, CA - This position is not fully remote. Salary 103K- 132K Annually (commensurate with experience) Full Time Are you interested in working for the award-winning Alameda County IT Department? Do you have a minimum of two to five years of recent solid experience in Salesforce application development? Are you able to effectively work with users to understand their business requirements and then design and build applications to meet their business needs? Alameda County is looking for a Salesforce Developer ndash Application Systems Engineer I to join our team and be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting various Salesforce applications and administrator tasks. This will be a highly technical role with some functional aspects as well. The job is onsite in Oakland, CA. You must be able to communicate with managers, peers, and customers in a team environment to achieve results. Take a look at who we are, visit our ITD Web page httpsitd.acgov.org Job Duties Work with users to gather business requirements and define software solutions. Perform configuration and develop customized applications within the Salesforce platform. Develop Apex (classes and triggers), and Lightning Components to extend Salesforce in order to support business requirements. Integrate salesforce applications with other internal systems and third-party applications. Maintain and provide support for Salesforce applications. Create technical documents, and training materials and provide training for Salesforce users. Work on multiple projects at the same time. Use various technology tools for development, troubleshooting, debugging, deployment, QA testing, and performance testing. Required Skills 2+ years of Salesforce development experience. Experience developing web applications (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Experience in designing, coding, and developing customized Salesforce applications within the Salesforce platform. Proficiency with Salesforce development including modification of standard objects and fields, creation of custom objects and fields, and building lighting components. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Be a quick learner and be willing to learn new concepts and principles. Experience being cross-functional, performing some administrative tasks within Salesforce. Desired Skills Experience implementing and developing in Apex and JavaScript with the Salesforce Platform. Programming experience (Java or .Net). Working experience with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience working with Relational Databases (any). Certifications Platform Developer I Platform App Builder Ability to Be a member of a team in development projects. Be willing to learn and engage in training where needed. Provide end-user support where needed. Prepare documentation and training materials. Communicate technical concepts to Agency PartnersCustomers. Gather and analyze data, draw sound conclusions, provide concise reports, and make presentations. Minimum Requirements for Classification The equivalent of two years full time experience designing, developing, analyzing, supporting and implementing complex software systems with a Bachelorrsquos degree with a major in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
