As a Salesforce/Python Developer supporting CMS, you will be trusted to develop custom solutions in Salesforce and Python, providing IT development and support to Marketplace initiatives.In this role, a typical day will include:Building Salesforce applications/frameworks using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Component Framework (Aura and LWC) and leverage the full capabilities of the Salesforce platform to support the programImplementing solutions that adhere to Salesforce platform best practices and perform peer code reviewsDeveloping Python scripts that can be used to automate data extractionCollaborating with Scrum Teams to estimate, plan, and manage new feature development and testingWorking with team members to analyze business requirements, translating those requirements in to customized solutions that are highly scalable, extensible, and easy to maintain while keeping the overall end-user experience in mindProviding system administration support to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and workflowAssisting with in-depth analysis of technical problems, suggest short- term and long-term resolutions and an overall roadmap for the completion of this processSupporting post deployment activities including knowledge transfer, process documentation and application bug fixesWHAT YOU'LL NEED:MS/MBA with 6+ years of development experience or BA/BS with 8+ years of development experience2+ years' experience with Salesforce custom Development using Lightning Components, Visualforce, APEX (SOQL, SOSL)2+ years' experience on the Salesforce Lightning Platform including Process Builder, Workflows, Lightning App Builder, etc2+ years' of hands-on experience with PythonExperience with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as, but not limited to: SAFe, Scrum, KanbanHave implemented at least one full life cycle project in Lightning and have expert level working knowledge on major technologies.Experienced in web technologies such as HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript, WSDLExperience integrating Salesforce with other applications using SOAP, REST, BULK and Streaming APIsExperience with SFDC specific IDE and version control configurations (Github, BitBucket) for Salesforce development (ex: VS Code, IntelliJ, SFDX)Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and developmentProvide technical assistance and end user troubleshooting for bug fixes, enhancements, and "how-to" assistanceCandidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance and must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) yearsUS citizen or a Green Card holderPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Hands-on Java development experienceWorking knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and Certified Platform Developer & Certified AdministratorHealthcare Service Industry or Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) experienceExperience working with JIRA, Confluence, and SharePointExperience with infrastructure in a cloud environment (AWS preferred)Certified SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner or other Agile certificationAbility to manage time effectively, to work under time pressure, to meet schedules and deadlines, to multi-task, to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments and pay close attention to detailGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:•401K with company match•Comprehensive health and wellness packages•Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career•Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications•Cutting-edge technology you can learn fromThe likely salary range for this position is $88,000 - $132,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Scheduled Weekly Hours:40Travel Required:NoneTelecommuting Options:RemoteWork Location:Any Location / RemoteAdditional Work Locations:Total Rewards at GDIT:Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match.
