Under general supervision, the Business Systems Analyst III is responsible for the analysis and evaluation of user business problems and the development of system recommendations in Salesforce and other related tools to meet business area requirements. This job’s contributions are typically in regards to the fulfillment of projects and organization objectives using judgement within defined practices and procedures to accomplish moderately difficult projects.

The candidate will work with Sales leaders at all levels of the organization in order to help increase utilization of Salesforce and help to carry out processes that are/ will be based within the tool.  This position also includes the daily administration and support of Salesforce in partnership with our IT department. 

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions

  • Develop automation and process improvement opportunities through tasks, process builder workflows, validation rules and/or alerts to improve the effectiveness and usability of Salesforce.
  • Responsible for the analysis and evaluation of user business problems and the development of system recommendations to meet business area requirements.
  • Overseeing business processes, analyzing areas of opportunity, data structure and reporting through use of Salesforce Analytics and Salesforce Einstein.
  • Defines problems, evaluates and prioritizes requirements, and implements systems to meet internal business and user requirements for routine projects.
  • Own the system adoption process with support from IT.
  • Assist in the software testing process, which includes devising test plans, creating test cases, establishing protocols and appropriate testing environments and coordinating user acceptance testing.
  • Provides recommendations to address specific business needs for IT-based solutions.
  • Collaborates with multiple cross-functional areas externally and internally for the implementation of system and business processes. 
  • Plans and configures system settings and options for both Salesforce and homegrown sales enablement applications.
  • May evaluate new software products to determine their applicability to current and future IT and Sales environments.
  • Exercises judgement within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate actions when accomplishing objectives.
  • Keeping abreast of new Salesforce features and functionality and providing recommendations for process improvements.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience with Salesforce
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related scientific or technical discipline
  • Hands-on development experience with Salesforce.com, Force.com, APEX, Visualforce applications, including Salesforce Service and Sales Cloud Administration
  • Strong technical knowledge of Salesforce.com which allows for effective communication w/ IT partners (SFDC)
  • Solid communicator who can work effectively in a collaborative but deadline-driven environment and can effectively adapt to changing technology and apply it to business needs
  • Results oriented with a strong drive to accomplish objectives and meet high standards
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES & Qualifications

  • Salesforce Einstein Analytics Certification
  • Working knowledge and experience with complex business systems integration as well as object-oriented design patterns and development
  • Show persistence when setting and working towards personal and team goals
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies such as XP/SCRUM
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and ETL tools
  • Direct experience working on CRM projects for enterprise size companies
